Happy Birthday

Trolling around the interweb this week I found these pictures taken by Carey.
I didn't see it happen, but I know they were shot while we were on Lee's Redwood Roll earlier this month, and it dawned on me: that weekend marked exactly 5yrs since I built this bike.
It got nicknamed The Dogleg because everything about this it was 'crooked as dog's hind leg.'
I rode the first 2yrs with no title, tags, or papers of any kind. Never did get around to "finishing" it, and it's definitely showing its age now, but having logged over 100,000 miles together, this has been the best bike I've every owned, and I've never regretted a single minute spent in that lop-sided saddle.

Hell of a ride!

After being swept away in last year's tsunami in Japan, this thing finally washed up in Canada! Wow. Just wow.
